I watched THG on March 23 at 4:25 PM. I LOVED THE MOVIE. It was not as great as the book but that's how all books and movies are. This was a beautiful, moving movie. I love how Gary Ross added and omitted scene to add a special touch to the entire movie. I liked the ending scene, where Seneca Crane is led to a room with nightlock berries. He doesn't eat them of course but this is Snow's way of saying: "Your going to have a rough road buddy."

umm, actually Swish, Seneca does eat them. In the second book Katniss learns he's dead after the 74th hunger games.

I watched it and wasn't so impressed. Most of the fighting scenes took place in the dark, and it was hard to see the details. The camera moved and shook a lot while they fought. The fighting scenes a broad daylight were relatively short. And also, I still can't get out of my mind how it doesn't make sense that *Prim* is the one who gave the pin to Katniss in the movie! Wasn't it supposed to be the daughter of the mayor? Katniss is also a bit on the chubby side in the beginning of the movie.... look at her cheeks. That's not how someone is supposed to look who's been starved for 12 years. They omitted a lot and added a whole bunch of unnecessary scenes like the one where Seneca Crane has to eat the nightlock berries. The book doesn't mention how he dies, and he really wasn't *that* important to the story so I don't understand why the movie would emphasize him so much.

Their family is relatively poor, so how did Prim get the mockingjay pin? Not to mention that the pin is made of pure gold and Katniss even mentioned in the book that it would have fed their family for weeks. Nothing fits together in the movie.
